Rated for severe industrial service where extreme radiant heat, typical radiation source up to 1150 °C as per EN 171:2002, Annex B.1, visible and infrared light, and high impact may occur.

They are manufactured from Polycarbonate and coated with 99,99% Fine Gold, while the Gold coating itself is protected by a hard coating for extended service life. The Gold Shields are designed to block the extreme radiant heat from molten metal and to optimize the Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) to allow the best possible view while working.
