CRI-1650R Compact High CRI Worklight

The Unilite CRI-1650R is a compact rechargeable work light that offers a white flood output, and also features 4 x 395 nm UV LEDs as well as a power bank function.

It has an output of 1650 lumens from a 13.8 W COB LED on the maximum setting and has four output levels of eco, low, mid and high to chose from, as well as a choice of four colour temperatures of 2700 K, 3500 K, 4500 K and 6500 K.

Colour rendering index (CRI) is a measurement of a light sources ability to faithfully reveal the true colour of an object in comparison to a natural light source such as sunlight and is measured between 0-100. The CRI-1650R has a high CRI 96+ value, which means the quality of the light source is extremely good and shows colours in their true form and also helps reduce eye strain that lower CRI lights can cause.

Offering excellent light spread and power the CRI-1650R features three buttons on the back to control all the settings. The left button is the on/off button, as well as the brightness level selector and underneath are the brightness level indicator lights to show which output your are in. Double press the button to turn the light on, and then each press will cycle through eco, low, mid, high and off. If in any setting for longer than 3 seconds the next press will turn the light off instead of cycling the modes.

Once turned on in the desired brightness, the colour temperature can then be altered to suit the task at hand. The right CCT button controls the colour temperature and has four lights under it, each with the colour temperature wrote next to it, and each press of the button will cycle through these with a green light to show which colour temperature you are on. The last used colour temperature will be remembered the next time the light is turned on.

The bottom button controls the UV LEDs and turns them on/off with each press. In the centre there are four power level indicator LEDs that will light up to show remaining power when the torch is turned on. When the last light is flashing the torch should be charged as soon as possible.

Utilising a built-in 3.7 V 13,500 mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the CRI-1650R has a run time of up to 7 hours, 30 minutes on the highest setting. With the torch off, the battery is easily recharged by lifting the dust cover and inserting the charging cable into the USB-C port on the back of the light at one end, and inserting the other end into a USB port or suitable USB adaptor with an output of 5 V 3 A, or 9 V 2 A.

While charging the four charging indicators on the back will display charging progress with one light flashing to start with before becoming solid and the next light flashing until eventually all four LEDs are solid after approximately 5.5 to 6 hours full charge time. Next to the charging port there is a USB-A output with 3 charging currents of 1 A, 2 A or 3 A, so that the CRI-1650R can be used as a power bank to charge external devices such as torches, mobile phones, or tablets. When a device is plugged in the LED indicators will decrease as the battery is drained.

The CRI-1650R has multiple hands free uses with the 180° rotating stand that can be put at different angles for a range of light positions, used to attach to magnetic surfaces with the strong magnets, fitted to a tripod with the tripod socket or used as a hanging hook with a built-in carabiner.

It is made from super tough nylon, TPR and aluminium construction with a florescent yellow front and a glow in the dark strip around the reflector for extra visibility.
